What are outplacement services?
Outplacement is career transition support an employer provides to employees leaving an organisation, often following redundancy or a restructure. It can include career guidance, resume and LinkedIn preparation, job-search support and interview practice. The support helps employees consider their options and prepare for their next move.
Career transition support tailored to each employee
Redundancy can bring practical questions alongside uncertainty about the future. One person may want to start applying for roles straight away. Another may need to consider a different direction or work out what matters most before deciding what comes next.
Our outplacement programs start with the individual. Each employee works with a coach to identify their priorities and choose the support that is useful to them. Their sessions can focus on immediate job-search needs, broader career decisions or a combination of both.
For employers, this is a practical way to offer departing employees support beyond their final day at work. For employees, it provides professional guidance, a sounding board and help turning ideas into action.
A flexible model built around the individual
Your career. Your next move. brings together six areas of career transition support, with the employee’s priorities at the centre, supported by their coach.
These areas are not compulsory steps to complete in sequence. Employees and their coaches choose where to begin, what to focus on and when to revisit an area as circumstances change. Confidence, wellbeing and maintaining momentum run throughout the program.

How much do our outplacement services cost?
When comparing outplacement providers, it helps to understand what each program includes and how the support can be tailored. Our programs include one-to-one coaching sessions and access to our online resource library. Your employee’s priorities shape the sessions, rather than a fixed syllabus.
Silver program: AUD $2,999 + GST per person
Five one-hour coaching sessions, with access to our online resource library.
Gold program: AUD $4,999 + GST per person
Ten one-hour coaching sessions, with access to our online resource library.
If you are considering a more extensive program, contact us to discuss a bespoke option and pricing. Tell us about the support you would like to provide so we can discuss the appropriate program.
Outplacement for small businesses and not-for-profit organisations
If you are arranging support for a small business or not-for-profit organisation, you can purchase a one-off program for one departing employee. Clear per-person pricing helps you plan the cost, while personalised coaching keeps the employee’s needs at the centre. Online and phone sessions provide options for arranging support across Australia.
Choosing an outplacement provider
Look beyond the package price to understand the support each employee will receive. Ask how coaching is personalised, how many individual sessions are included, what resources are available and how sessions are delivered. Clarify the program period, costs and confidentiality arrangements before deciding.
The working relationship matters too. Employees need space to ask questions, consider their options and discuss what they need from coaching. A conversation with the provider can help you understand its approach and how the program would work for your organisation.
Questions about outplacement support
What can an employee work on with their coach?
The focus depends on the employee’s priorities. Some need practical help preparing applications and interviews; others want to explore a different role, industry or way of working. The six areas above provide a flexible framework for choosing useful support.
Can we arrange outplacement for one employee?
Yes. An employer can purchase a one-off program for one departing employee. You do not need a larger group to arrange support.
How long do employees have to use their sessions?
All coaching sessions must be completed within 12 months of the invoice date. Employees and their coaches can plan sessions around their priorities within that period.
Online outplacement support across Australia
Sessions are available online or by phone, with in-person meetings by agreement. Your coach will share practical resources and activities to support your work between sessions.
Does the employee pay for the program?
Your employer funds the agreed program, so there is no cost to you for that program. You do not need to have your next step worked out before you speak with us.
What is shared with the employer?
Your coaching conversations are confidential: we do not report what you discuss to your employer. We may confirm attendance at sessions if requested.
How to arrange outplacement for your employees
If you are planning organisational change or arranging support for a departing employee, get in touch to discuss what you need.
It helps to know the employee’s location, role or level, anticipated starting date and whether you are considering five or ten sessions. You can also tell us about practical requirements that may affect how the program is delivered and whether a purchase order is needed for the invoice.
We will discuss the program with you and explain the next steps. Once arrangements are agreed, the employee is introduced to their coach to organise their first session.
