Let’s Talk … About a Positive Psychology Book Club. Want to participate?

executive coaching

Gable and Haidt (2005) define positive psychology as “the (scientific) study of the conditions and processes that contribute to the flourishing or optimal functioning of people, groups, and institutions.” Positive psychology focuses on the promotion of well-being and the creation of a satisfying life filled with engagement, pleasure, meaning, positive relationships and accomplishment.

At Let’s Talk Career our Managing Partner, Kris Reynolds, is passionate about Positive Psychology practice. She believes that integrating scientifically proven positive psychology practice into people’s executive coaching and career coaching programs, and in turn their work days, leads to happier, healthier and more productive careers and lives. Who doesn’t want that?

Anyone can have an interest in learning about Positive Psychology – you do not need to be a psychologist. Everyone can integrate its practice into their lives. But first you need to learn about it. Understand it. Consider it. Decide to give it a try.

We invite you to join us in our monthly virtual Positive Psychology Book Club.

How does it work?

At the beginning of each month we will select a book you can download and read. At the end of the month (last Wed of the month @ 8.30 pm) we will hold a webinar/conference call to discuss the book and its revelations. This call will be facilitated with a Let’s Talk Career coach. It’s a great opportunity to connect with like-minded people, enjoy a book, learn something new and explore what PP means to you. We will also create a Facebook group where people can discuss the book during the month.

There is no cost to join or participate in the Book Club (except for the purchase of your book).

If you are interested in participating, send us an email titled ‘Book Club’ and we will include you in the next month’s book.

We look forward to reading with you soon.
